facts

1. a proud mother of a daughter, lee chaeeun (age: 4.5). after getting married to her high school sweetheart at the age of twenty-two, the couple were blessed with their daughter two years after. everything was happiness & laughter at first, but things slowly began to fall apart due to lack of communication and frequent night outs. the couple didn't end on a bad note  — if anything, she understands that people grow out of each other and that there wasn't anything she could do to save the relationship when it was clear they were on a completely different page. so, kaeun & her ex-husband reach an agreement to only contact one another over things relating to their daughter. 

2. an owner of an online children's clothing business — euniverse ✨. as someone who aspired to be in the fashion industry once upon a time ago, the business idea was something to be expected. being able to work from home was also a huge factor since she didn't want to be away from chae-eun for too long. residents of the apartment will often see her carrying one too many packages & boxes in & out of the building as she ships everything out on her own. 

3. kaeun isn't opposed to dating, but she does understand that there are limitations to what she can have. she's been on couple dates after the divorce, but none of them had progressed to something significant and always ended after a couple dates. 

4. it's hard for her to get /angry/ over things. there's always a smile on her face whether she's exhausted or not. it's a flaw, she often thinks, because she did undoubtedly get pushed around during her student years. she does, however, believe in firm parenting. if chae-eun is misbehaving (especially in public), then she won't hesitate to discipline as needed. (sometimes, she's the 'mean' mom and it really doesn't help that everyone around her spoils her to death).

5. she's blessed enough to have her close friends live nearby (see: same building), helping her out when they can. sometimes, she feels like she's raising multiple children instead of one, but she doesn't complain too much about it — especially since they buy things for chae-eun, which helps to lift the burden off of her shoulder just a little bit. 

❓. her mother was a very close friend with the dad of her current best friend. the night her mother disappeared for a little while, his dad passed away from an accident. looking back, kaeun feels like the incident is a lot more than just a coincidence, but she doesn't bring it up. what if she did and find out something she didn't want to?
